In order to comply with the new REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 27 April 2016, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and with the Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on personal Data Protection and guarantee of digital rights (LOPD), we inform you that the personal data and information you provide when filling in our electronic form “Career Opportunities” available on the website https://www. rewe-systems-spain.com (“the Portal”), will be incorporated into a file owned by REWE digital SPAIN S.L., for treatment according to the rules governing our Privacy Policy.

Below, we inform you about all those aspects related to the processing of personal data collected through this website:

Purpose of the Processing: The only purpose for the processing of the user’s personal data will be the following:

    • Comply with our legal obligations regarding Data Protection and Privacy, as a candidate selection and Human Resources department.

    • To allow you to send us your CV for general applications, to apply for specific jobs or to subscribe to our job offers. 

    • To create profiles with your information in order to include you in the selection processes that best fit your profile.

    • Carry out selection processes internally or for jobs in other companies of the REWE digital Group.

    • Maintain your data and notify you about future job opportunities, beyond the specific position to which you have applied.

    • Answer your questions;

    • Direct marketing of REWE digital products and services, informing you about news, trends, studies, reports, events that we organize and others that might be interesting for you. Before doing so, you will have the opportunity to opt-out of all such communications and will be provided with the option to unsubscribe from each such communication;

  • We may process, in accordance with local regulations, certain sensitive personal data (known as special category data in GDPR) when you include it in the information you send to us, for example, if you include information about your health or religion in your CV to us. We may also be required to carry out a criminal background check on your data in countries where this is required or permitted by law. We have processes in place to limit the use and disclosure of such confidential information beyond what is permitted or required by law.


Consent and Recipient of Data: You expressly consent to the processing of your data for the purposes explained above.

Likewise, we inform you that your data may be communicated for the same purposes to companies belonging to the REWE digital Group, in order to be able to make the selection of your position for any company of the Group.


Retention of personal data: REWE digital will keep your personal data for the time strictly necessary to fulfil the above mentioned purposes. Bearing in mind that our selection processes are continuous and unless you tell us otherwise, we will keep your information in our files for a maximum period of 12 months.

After this period, and unless they have been duly updated by you, we will cancel your data as we consider that they are not updated, and therefore do not comply with the purpose for which they were collected.

We remind users that it is their obligation to always keep their data updated (CV), otherwise we cannot guarantee that the purpose of this personal data processing will be adequately fulfilled.


Rights of the user and how to exercise them: these are the rights that protect the user and that can be exercised free of charge:

    • Right of access.
      You have the right to have the data deleted when they are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were provided or when the other circumstances provided for by law occur.

    • Right of rectification.
      You have the right to have your personal data rectified if it is inaccurate or incomplete.

      You have the right to have the data deleted when they are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were provided or when the other circumstances provided for by law occur.

    • Right to limit treatment.
      You have the right to request a limitation in the processing of your personal data, so that the processing operations that should correspond in each case are not applied to them, in those cases foreseen in art. 18 of the GDPR.

  • Right to portability.
    You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured format, as long as this data is exclusively for you as the owner and has been provided by the User.

In any case, please note that limitations on the processing of your data, or the exercise of other rights, may prevent us from fulfilling the purpose for which the information was sent to us, i.e. the participation of the User in our personnel selection processes.

In cases of manifestly unfounded or excessive applications due to their repetitive nature, we reserve the right to charge a fee for the administrative costs involved or the right to refuse to act on them, in accordance with the provisions of Article 12.5 GDPR.
